What if people actually mattered more than data when it comes to analytics success?
That was one of the hot topics during the World Café sessions at this year’s Digital BrainFest. The digital analytics sessions provided the opportunity for participants to discuss top-of-mind issues and agenda items.
One session explored topics in digital analytics, and while the conversation focused on using analytics to drive business outcomes, there was lively discussion about the importance of cultivating analytics talent.
In a nutshell, companies can have access to all the data in the world, but without the right people, who can understand the data, analyze it and tell a compelling story about how it relates to various business operations or objectives, big data isn’t the same as valuable data.
Creating a healthy, data-informed culture is possible by recruiting and mentoring the right team. Further, being nimble enough to modify and refine processes that might be limiting the capacity of analytics teams or limiting insights.
