Infinitive CEO Selected For Prestigious Defense Department Program
Business Leaders Learn About Military Programs and Operations Throughout the World
MCLEAN, VA., May 29, 2007 - Infinitive, a northern Virginia-based management consultancy, today announced their chief executive officer, Denis McFarlane, was selected to participate in the Defense Department's Joint Civilian Orientation Conference along with other business, civic, education and community leaders. The trip took place in April 2007 and was hosted by U.S. Central Command as an in-depth introduction to the military.
The goal of the program is to provide a better understanding of the missions and goals of the US Armed Forces. Leaders receive a close-up look at the key command centers worldwide. They also attend briefings by senior military and civilian officials followed by experiencing hands-on exercises, participating in training, and interacting with the troops stationed across the globe.
"I cannot say enough about the troops we met," remarked McFarlane. "I have enjoyed getting to know and talk to so many young men and women serving our country while learning more about operations and logistics."
As a JCOC participant, McFarlane was also quoted in an American Forces press release, "What amazed me about the Air Force is the tremendous amount of logistics work that goes on. I am incredibly impressed by the amount of supplies that comes through here."
