In the digital advertising space, there is a huge demand for individuals who not only have the right skills and talents, but also the right attitude. Self-starters and the curious are some of the people to look for.
Consider this recent blog post in the Wall Street Journal about Cisco’s recent hiring blitz of millennials to handle the user experience side of the IT company. In the piece, Cisco’s CIO Rebecca Jacoby acknowledges that:
[There’s] often a tendency when hiring to fill jobs with people who already have experience with every single aspect of the job.
‘We’re taking a chance on youthful enthusiasm,’ [Jacoby] said, adding that they likely have more recent experience with modern technology. She surrounds those younger workers with people who have more experience to guide them.
