2023 NAB Show Recap

Las Vegas, Nev. – Infinitive introduced its Personalized Premium Content Streaming (PPCS) solution at last week’s National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in partnership with NOMAD. Infinitive showcased the offering on the exhibit floors and at multiple panel events during the four-day conference from April 16-19th.

What is NAB?

Through advocacy, education, and innovation, NAB enables broadcasters to best serve their communities, strengthen their businesses and seize new opportunities in the digital age. The association was founded in 1923 and celebrated its centennial celebration of the preeminent convention for the broadcast media, entertainment, and technology industries. In total, an announced 65,013 registered attendees with 166 countries represented and 1,208 exhibiting companies made up the conference.

Where was Infinitive?

Infinitive featured PPCS at two booths in the “Intelligent Content” zone at the 2023 NAB Show in partnership with NOMAD and Bitmovin. The solution is built on the NOMAD intuitive cloud-based content and asset management platform powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) AI technology and leverages Bitmovin’s video player. In addition to the booth locations, PPCS was featured in Reimagining the Sports, News, and Television Experience in the Age of TikTok theater presentation by NOMAD’s CEO, Adam Miller. The 20-minute presentation and demonstration showcased the pre-integrated Direct-to-Consumer video and live event streaming solution for rapid deployment in front of a full audience.

Market Development Executive Steve Malinchock then participated in a thought leadership panel – Best Practices for your OTT Monetization Strategy – in which he discussed industry insights, Infinitive’s expertise in the space, and how the PPCS solution brings new opportunity to increase revenues and uniquely engage consumers.

To cap an eventful day, Infinitive hosted a cocktail reception for interested prospects and connections at Jalisco Underground, a fun, underground tequila bar at the Resorts World property.

What did Infinitive Showcase?

On the NAB show floor, the Infinitive and NOMAD teams excitedly showcased the new PPCS offering that allows you to give your “fans” personalized streaming of their favorite highlights and “must see” moments – curated for them, and by them. They explained to media owners the business impact and benefits, including how they can put all their premium content (historical and new) into streaming channels that their audience can define, curate, and engage with whenever they want.

Video and display ad inventory for brand campaigns, cross-selling potential, and eCommerce purchasing options are amongst the revenue stream opportunities for content owners across many industry verticals, all powered by Infinitive’s Personalized Premium Content Streaming solution and contextual and First Party Data targeting.

Attendee Reaction

Initial reaction to the PPCS solution was very positive and encouraging. Attendees representing successful media companies in broadcast news and sports expressed excitement at the prospect of engaging their fans in a unique experience with the opportunity for increased revenue as an added outcome. One executive at a major television broadcaster exclaimed, “I would watch that all day!” at the idea of a personalized video feed of local politics content for stations.
